My name is Sam and I'm part of the Community Development team at Te Mātāwai.
I've been learning about surfcasting for the past couple years. It's been a journey but now I'm at a point where I'm keen to share with others.
I can share what I know on topics such as recommended gear, to beginner knots and tying beginner rigs. While I can't guarantee catching fish, these things can make a difference when you hook the big ones.
There is also a local fishing group that I'd like to connect with, so if you're also interested, that's a potential opportunity as a next step.
