We recently partnered with Doughnut Economics Advocates NZ to host one of their Repair Cafes here at Te Mātāwai.

Repair Cafes are free pop-up event where anyone can bring in their damaged or broken goods to get checked and possibly repaired on the spot for free. They're a great way to save money and be a little more environmentally friendly.

If you've got something collecting dust at home that isn't working quite like it used to, or a piece of clothing that you've promised you'd fix for a while now, the Repair Cafe might be able to help you get the repair job done.

If you don't need repair support, we're always looking for volunteers to help with repairs. The repair stations include sewing, electrical, bike and general repairs. To sign up for volunteering, contact the Community Developement team: communtiyhub@kaingaora.govt.nz or 021 796 748.

Join us at the next pop up: Saturday 27 April 11am - 2pm.
